Introduction:

Based in Sandwich, just 20 minutes from Dover's Cruise Terminal and ferry port/and the same from Canterbury, I have endless enthusiasm for our unique history, set against the dramatic White Cliffs coastline with pretty rural villages and glorious countryside. I specialise in fun, off-beat, special-interest itineraries throughout Kent and Sussex. My background is in Tour Operations, Event Management and Corporate Hospitality. I am also a Lecturer in Travel&Tourism Management, and accredited Trainer for the Institute of Tourist Guiding. I am fully conversant with the stories behind Front-line Dover during WW2, and offer tours which include the background to Operation Dynamo (Dunkirk) and the Battle of Britain, and other wartime sites, memorials and museums. Then there is the tranquility of our peacetime countryside and rural villages. For me, nothing is more satisfying than welcoming visitors to 'my home', peeping behind the scenes, and sharing some of the many secrets of 'The Gateway to, and Garden of England ' Specialisms include Dover and White Cliffs Country, Sandwich (my much loved home town)! and Canterbury, where I am also an accredited guide for Canterbury Cathedral, and able to offer exclusive interior guided tours. If you can't travel to Sandwich at the moment, I can offer a 'Taste of My Sandwich' to you. Would love to share this with you on my virtual tour. Other virtual tours include Canterbury and English Rural Villages in Kent.
