Introduction:

I am a French speaking tour guide with 27 years experience guiding specialist and general groups from the UK and from Overseas. My primary aim as a guide is to "welcome, inform and entertain" in equal measure. The most common feedback I get is that I deliver "just the right combination of information and humour". I am also regularly told that I am "good with teenagers, as well as with adults"

I offer walking and coach tours of Bath, Bristol, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Stroud and the Valleys, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Oxford, Birmingham and more. I am currently developing walks related to Stroud, and The Stroud Cloth Industry; The Stroudwater and Thames and Severn Canals; Arts, Trades and Crafts in The Cotswolds. I also offer walks in and around Stratford House, aka The Museum in the Park, Stroud, where I also work. Please get in touch if you would like materials and activities designed for your group, or if you have a special interest group.

I understand the practical requirements of leaders of school and college groups, having myself designed, organised and led many such groups myself, as Tutor, and as Excursions and Events Leader/ Social Programme Co-ordinator. I have also been heavily involved in designing and delivering Theme based Activities/Projects and Materials for groups and individuals, as a Guide, Academic Tutor and Examiner. I have over 35 years experience as a Tutor and Examiner of English as a Foreign Language in the UK and abroad for a variety of Companies and Schools, including: City of Bath College; The Bell School, Bath; Oxford Intensive School, Bristol; Embassy Study Tours, Brighton and Hove; The British Council, Oporto, Portugal; Inlingua Sprachschule, Essen, Germany; Lycee Pablo Picasso, Fontenay-sous-Bois, France. I have also worked for the International Baccalaureate Office at Bath University, and was Foreign Language Exams Co-Ordinator for The London Chamber of Commerce at Lansdown School of Languages, Bath.
